the moon and the mounains

so right now the moon is supposed to be as close to earth as it has been in hundreds of years. true or not, the moon is spectacular tonight. last week here at hume, we got 60 inches of snow. 60. inches. thats five feet for those lacking in mathematical skills, or for those who landed on the left side of their head one too many times snowboarding. so because of the winter precipitation, the mountains were covered in snow. however as the days have been beautiful and sunny, the snow has melted a little bit, but the sun saw fit to leave just enough to make the majestic mountains glow in the fluorescence of the moon light. words really can't capture in imagery the beauty of the sierra nevada range this time of year.

What do I hope in? Too often my hope defaults to a future with staples that are material and temporary. I need to place my hope in things concrete and lasting. Things like hope in a world that's wrecked with hope of the Giver of hope. Because after all
